Who we are

At home, we don’t buy red meat — we eat what we hunt. Being Shotatarians means we earn our food and know it face to face, choosing wild, responsibly sourced food and a life connected to the land. Our community is dedicated to ethical harvesting, seasonal cooking, conservation, and protecting wild places for future generations. We hunt, prepare, and share wild food with respect for the animals and the ecosystems that sustain them.

Now we want to share the adventure!

Coming this fall, Shotatarian is a food-focused hunting TV show that takes audiences on wild adventures to eat wild food!

Hosted by hunter and adventurer Ari Novak, this documentary series celebrates field-to-table food through hunters and professional chefs who are redefining what wild game cooking can be. The Shotatarian lifestyle is all about integrating more wild food into people's lives, whether it’s one meal a year or three meals a day. From award-winning wild game chefs with deep culinary pedigrees to self-made hunters who learned their craft at campfires and kitchen tables, the show dives into captivating hunts and their personal stories, their signature dishes, and the philosophies that guide their cooking. Viewers follow the journey from field to plate: sourcing the wild game ingredient, exploring its regional and cultural significance, and watching these hunters and chefs push wild game cuisine into bold, modern, and mouthwatering territory.

Part hunting show, part food-travel series, this character study blends cinematic cooking sequences, exhilarating hunting adventure, and intimate storytelling. The result is a show that redefines “wild food”—not as out of date or niche, but as an elevated, sustainable, and a deeply personal art form.
